Why no children at Blandford Manor?

Why we decided to ban children at Blandford Manor

When we started Blandford Manor we had a vision of a place where people could come and relax, away from the stresses of every day life. A place of peace and tranquility where the only sounds were those of the birds and gently flowing water.

With this in mind we spent a great a great deal of time and lots of money designing the architecture and developing a garden that would embrace our vision. The gardens subsequently became internationally registered botanic gardens.

Following years of difficulty achieving our vision, we took the decision to ban children under the age of 15 years, this initially caused some controversy but we believe that in the final analysis our decision was the correct one.

To all those wonderful families that supported us, despite the problems, some of which are now unable to visit us, we truly are sad that we were forced to make this decision. We hope that one day when your children are older, or maybe when you just need a day off, you will visit us again.
